| This metallic case is tougher than a Lesbian CAT mechanic / Dirty Harry & Lance Armstron COMBINED! It survived a 28 foot fall when I was working on a telephone pole onto the grass parking strip below. The SD card didn't even pop out, so it's great. The down side of this product is that the metallic screw on the back literally chewed thru the edge of the plastic belt clip (you'd think a good engineer would have thought about this...or some manager shot that idea down to save a few shekels). That was why the case got tested. The case opens from left to right, and is well balanced as I typed out a short SMS message or updated an appointment, but for anything longer than 20 keystrokes, you will want to remove it from the case. It's also to large to fit in either leg pocket on Carhartt work pants, so a good belt clip is paramount. Fortunately, the manufacturer is going to waive the restocking fee for a return & they make a different model with a plastic connector for the belt clip. If you use the 700wx, search for item A901 or the 'Smartphone Experts HC1 Hard Case for Treo 700wx'. | |||||

| the phone will fall out of the clip as the plastic teeth fail. Would be better if it had a metal clip like some of the leather cases that cliped on your belt loop if the phone could slide out the top. | |||||
