invisibleSHIELD is a clear film that helps protect your Treo 700p, Treo 700wx, or Treo 700w from normal, everyday wear and tear.

It is made from plastic polymer that was originally designed by the military for the leading edge of helicopter blades. Since then, ShieldZone has perfected this film and launched its proprietary patent-pending application process and the invisibleSHIELD product line.

Exceptionally clear and virtually indestructible, the invisibleSHIELD protects your electronics investment and allows you to use your expensive equipment without worry.

The invisibleSHIELD for smartphones and PDA phones are carefully designed and precision cut. It even comes with a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee, so if you do happen to play too hard, ShieldZone will replace your invisibleSHIELD for the life of your product.

This is quite possibly the best protection solution!
User: Dan B, Jul 10, 2007
Pros: Lifetime no questions asked warranty, durability, affordable
Cons: time consuming application process
Cliffnotes: As the previous reviewers have said, this is an excellent protection selection for people who like to hold their Treo.

Detailed banter:
I came from an SPE Hard Case (Interesting, not too bulky, useless screen protector flap that would swing open for no reason, seemingly impenetrable...until you dropped it and it broke apart as quick as a first high school relationship) followed by a Speck Products Toughskin (Rugged protection, ... for about a month, then it stretched out and tore like the accident that caused the first newborn, got dust and dirt stuck on, and due to its size, scared my friends away.)
When I had all but given up hope I came across the Shieldzone. Skeptical at first, but willing to try a solution that came with a screen protector (Sorry, but the screen protectors that make my already dull 700w screen look like a dirty CRT TV just didnt cut it after a couple months) and enjoying the idea of a lifetime warranty I caved in.
The only thing I regret is not picking up this miracle earlier. Now miracle may sound like an overstatement, but I ask the dear reader, has there ever been an instance where a Treo had smoldering hookah charcoal fall upon the delicate touch screen only to see that there are minor specks of burn and distortion only on the screen protector while the screen is left bright and shiny as the time it was opened up ?
If an incident similiar to that isnt convincing enough, when was the last time a Treo user accidently left his beloved software rich multitasking life saving Treo on top of his new Turbo before going on a 0-60 test only to hear something flinging off the roof and skidding on the ground the precise moment 60 was reached? When was the last time the treonaut jumped out of the car screaming as only to find the Treos antenna cover (the only unprotected part) flung off, while the battery cover was still attached to the phone, the case rendered with some deeper surface scratches, and the phone underneath unscathed? After these two incidents I called shieldzone and was charged a mere 3 dollars shipping charge to recieve my replacement skin. I do not condone radical accidental endurance tests of this nature or guarentee the same results for other users, I do however make judgement based on personal experience. I support Shieldzone fully for making a product that can stand up to the constant abuse my phone goes through, all without making my device resemble an airplane black box. Invisible Shield is exactly what this product is, and indeed it is as close to indestructable as can be.
looks tougher than at first
User: jackie chan, Feb 27, 2007
Pros: It is tougher to penetrate than a chastity belt
Cons: initial application is a pain in the tushy. Bottom corners of battery cover are exposed.
700p treo
I was skeptical and almost regretted buying this cover. But when I dropped my treo on the concrete, to my surprise, the thin plastic skin was never penetrated. I feel more confident about this product now.

The skin covers pretty much all the surface area of the treo including the screen with this tough plastic. Even constant stylus scratching has yet to dull the shine on the plastic, again to my surprise. Along the bottom corners, the corners on the treo itself are protected, but the bottom right and left corners of the battery cover are exposed which sucks. I'll post back when I test to see if I can use other covers with this skin. I'm not worried about the areas covered with the plastic though. It'll take a bullet to cut through this stuff.
Nice protection for a "naked" Treo
User: Steve Rowe, May 4, 2007
Pros: Protects almost the entire device without changing the look.
Cons: Can be tricky to get in place and remove "bubbles"
I don't like covers and body skins, so this protection seemed like a good idea. It protects almost everything (except the keyboard) including the screen but doesn't get in the way or even look like there's a skin on it. It also adds a little friction to it to keep it from sliding around as easily.

Getting everything in place was a little tricky, but not terribly difficult (it took me about 30-45 minutes). It comes with 8 individual pieces cut to fit a specific spot on the Treo (top rear, battery cover, left and right side, bottom, top front, ear piece and screen) as well as a small spray-bottle of some type of liquid lubrication and a plastic "squeegy" to get air bubbles out.

The instructions say to spray the pieces "lightly" with the liquid before applying, but I would suggest spraying them (both sides) liberally. This helps keep them from sticking to the plastic before you get them maneuvered into position; a process which can take some time to do. Once they're in place, you can squeegy excess liquid out, but I found that it dried pretty quickly and wasn't an issue. Getting some of the smaller air bubbles out took some doing for me and I ended up using a credit card instead of the hard plastic piece that came with it.

Overall, I think this is excellent protection for those of us that do not want to use bulky cases or body skins. While it won't protect your device from hard drops, it will definitely keep it from getting scratched up and damaged.
