Great holster... until the clip broke off twice
User: R Lewis, May 20, 2007
Pros: Held skinned treo well, seldom dropped the phone
Cons: The clip broke off, twice!
I've had two of these Seidio skinned holsters after reading rave reviews. Unfortunately they both befell the same fate, a broken clip. The first one snapped off when I lept into the air at a science musuem (no, not playing basketball or anything, just a little jump). The second snapped off as I exited the car at the airport (didn't feel like I rubbed it against anything just felt it fall as I stepped out). I never put any real stress on either, but both seemed to pop apart too easily. Unfortunately my first break was outside of the seidio warranty period, which caused me to get a second one. I just gave up after the second one. It seems the weight of a skinned treo and movement, other than walking, can be hazardous to this holster.
Just broke 3rd one
User: Bruce Miller, Jun 8, 2007
I just broke my 3rd holster getting out of my car yesterday. I only had this for for about a month. The clip is very flimsy and will start bending over time. I watched this third one more closely after the other 2 broke, and after a couple of weeks I could see that the plastic around the clip connection was weakening. I am going to order a different brand this time. If it wasn't for this defect I would recommend it.
Lack of support
User: Clark Quinn, Nov 10, 2006
Pros: Great design
Cons: weak engineering, bad support
I had heard such great things about the Seidio holster, but I like a skin on my Treo. When the skinned holster came out I had to have one, along with the reset hole-equipped case, and the reset-hold equipped skin. And it seemed like a great solution, securely but gently holding my Treo, and clipping well to the belt. Then the latch snapped. It has a weak point in design. I mentioned this to Seidio, and asked what they recommended, hoping they could supply a replacement latch.

What followed was ludicrous. They recommended an email with pictures, and promised a 2 day response. I did so, and heard nothing. A week later, I called again, and the person acknowledged that they had my email and promised they'd get back within 2 business days. Nothing again. Sorry, but I can't recommend the products of a company that has such bad support. I would've even accepted an answer of 'sorry', but no answer after all that is unacceptable.

I now use the Speck skinned holster, if you're looking for an alternative, and much more reasonably priced!
Swivel Clip Broke
User: Michael Glier, Aug 19, 2007
The holster was very well designed and seemed to hold my phone securely enough. Unfortunately, the swivel lock on the belt clip broke less than a week after I started using it. I really wish someone would make a skinned holster with a fixed belt clip.
Clip broke after owning for 2 days
User: John Przybylski, Jun 25, 2007
I love the concept of a holster, but was very disappointed when the clip on this broke after 2 days of using it. It appears the pin just fell out. I did not abuse in any way - I was walking to work when the phone fell out of the holster, gathered up most of the pieces, but appear to have missed one of them, so I can't reassemble. I certainly won't be paying for a replacement...
Don't Trust It!
User: J Oceans, Jun 1, 2007
Pros: Nice Idea and Material
Cons: Desgin is flawed. Does not fit the skinned Treo 750 properly and is therefore not secure.
I have owned several holsters for my Treo 600,650 and 750. This is absolutely the worst of at least 9 cases/holsters. The slightest bump or nudge will cause this thing to drop the phone. Just today at work it was bumped and came out of the holster but I was not aware of it. I sat down in my office and when my desk phone started ringing I realized my cell phone wasn't (desk and cell ring simultaneously). My phone was lost for about 2 hours until I finally caught up with the person who had found it. This is not the first time this has happened. It is going back today!
