The Seidio Retractable S&C Duo Cable let's you charge (and sync) your Treo, and at the same time also charge a Palm Battery Charger, Palm Compact Wireless Headset or a second Treo smartphone!

It charges through a USB port and retracts into a small, compactable, and easy to transport size. With the additional purchase of either a USB travel adaptor or a USB Car adaptor, can charge from either any wall outlet or car (see below).

Pros:	simple solution to tangled cords, adds headset charger
Cons:	sometimes difficult to retract

This cable helps keep the clutter on my desk minimized. It works the way it should.

Beware of Inferior Construction (Twice!)...

Pros:	Great Concept ...
Cons:	Contruction not up to real world wear & tear ...

I was in need of a portable device to facilitate the simultaneous charging of both my Treo 650 and BlueTooth earbud in the office, in the car, etc. Shortly after purchasing [the first one], I noticed the wires beginning to fray where they connect to the jack that mates with the Treo. So I assumed I had snagged, pinched or otherwise damaged the wire by my own doing and ordered a second one. For the 2nd device, I was VERY careful, solicitous and otherwise attentive to not snag, pinch or otherwise damage the wire. Guess what?, in short order the wires started fraying again right at the same connection point. Hence, my opinion that, while a clever concept, the device exhibits rather shoddy construction not up to normal business wear & tear. Two thumbs down.

Ruined batteries on 650 and headset

Pros:	The ideal space saving, all-in-one solution, but...
Cons:	...ruined the batteries on my 650 and headset.

I feel that this charger ruined the batteries on my Treo 650 and Treo branded bluetooth headset. I used only this cable to charge my phone and headset, charged both at the same, leaving them charging overnight. After five months, my phone was only able to hold a charge for one day with light usage, and my headset only lasted 15 hours of standby with light usage. I presented this problem to Seidio tech support and they advised me not to charge both devices at the same time, which defeats the cable's purpose. Also, they said my powered USB 1.1 port was not providing enough power to fully charge them. This information is not available on the Seidio website nor was it included in print with the cable. Tech support advised me to "recondition" my battery by draining and fully recharging (via wall adapter) three times. This only restored battery performance for two weeks before I had to recharge every night. Luckily Palm replaced my headset, but I now must buy a new battery. Do not use any USB charging cable.
