StarStarStarStarStar great dock for Treo
User: Patrick Patrick, Feb 17, 2008
Pros: easy to snap in and out - work great
Cons: a little too light - needs more base weight
I have been using this cradle / dock for my Treo 650 for a couple of years now, and it has worked nearly flawlessly. I have the white one. I have never had a battery drain problem, nor have I had any sync problems. I am retiring my Treo 650 for an iPhone. I am happy to discover that the new Treo Centro fits perfectly, too. Only reason I didnt give it five stars is because I feel the dock is too light. It could use some weight in the base so it wouldnt move around so easily. You must grab the phone and put a finger on the dock when separating it, or youll pick up your phone and the dock. Its an easy, one-handed move. This is a great dock, and I strongly recommend it.

StarStarStarStarStar Drained my battery also...
User: Ron Smith, Sep 30, 2007
Pros: Easily fits Treo 750 with 2400 High Capacity Battery
Cons: Drains that battery flat!
In pure hope I turned a blind eye to other reviewers who warned that this cradle drained their battery, in my desperation to find a cradle for my othewise awesome phone. The concept of the INNODock Jr. is a thing of beauty ... but I like others found that as the phone sits in the cradle, although the red "charging" led is lit and the battery shows the "charging" symbol, the phone is being rather rapidly drained, not charged. There is no tech support link on Seidio's web site, in fact it doesn't even list the INNODock Jr as a product, so that was no help. I tried various USB ports, turning the phone off, dimming the display, etc. etc. etc. Finally I decided to measure the voltage on the charging pins of a USB charging cable I own ... 5 volts, give or take. On the INNODock Jr. charging pins, the voltage fluctuated between 0.01 volt and 0.00. Enough, apparently, to power that happy little green LED (a.k.a. headlight) on the front of the cradle, but certainly not enough to even maintain existing charge on the phone.

I sent it back. If anyone can recommend a cradle for Treo750 with the 2400mAh battery, (that actually charges the phone, mind you) please let me know -- ronsmith@yhti.net

StarStarStarStarStar Avoid this product for the Centro
User: Craig Donovan, Jan 2, 2008
Pros: None
Cons: Too many to list
This product does not make a good Centro dock at all. First the one I bought would not sync when using the "button" or even if I used the OS to initiate. Apparently the USB connection was not correct. Secondly it had a bad connection, so whenever you tip the phone slightly, while in the cradle and connected, the power light would go out. I decided to open it up and found out why. Seidio use point-to-point wiring on the flexible connector. There is only 1 useful circuit board used to mount the USB connector. The LED and sync button are on seperate mini-circuit boards, glued in place with hot-glue and then they use shoty wires to connect them to the Centro interface. In addition I saw some the worst soldering imaginable on all the connections. The whole thing looks like it was put together by a 5 year old.

Overall the design looks ok, but in practice its really poor. At least with the Centro, you have to pick up the whole unit just to properly align the connector. Whats the point of a dock if you have to do that. Might as well use the free cable and at least you can sync with it.

If you do buy this thing, it will not last due to the poor soldering and really bad wiring inside. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Wait until Palm comes out with a dock instead.

StarStarStarStarStar Save your money
User: Suzanne Franklin, Sep 13, 2008
Pros: Fits Treo 680 with crystal case
Cons: Drains battery
Like others, I risked this cradle, which Id purchased ONLY because it was advertised to work when the 680 was in a case. That part is true. However, if you want to also be able to keep the battery charged, its a joke. It not only did NOT keep the charge, it actually drained the battery at a steady rate. Seidio Tech Support was no help. Their suggestions were that my computers USB port was not supplying enough power (altho all ports work fine with the Palm-supplied sync/charge cable), or that I purchase an AC power kit, which rather defeats the ability to sync while charging. This cradles only purpose now is as a paperweight.
