It takes a few full charges and Discharges to work
User: Stephen Goncalves, Dec 2, 2008
Pros: Almost 2 days of heavy usage.
Cons: Big and Seidio does not make a case for this larger battery
Worked fine for the first 9 months..
Unfortunately, it seems that although the performance is a huge improvement over the standard battery, it may not be a question of if, but when you will have problems with it.

Pros: More than double the life of standard battery
Cons: Size, long term unreliability

lasted for a month & now dies at 40
User: Long V, Dec 9, 2008
the 1st month the battery lasted for about 1.5-2 days at most (normal-minimal usage) & it would drain to about 19 before shutting down. Now its doubled & shuts down at 40. there must be something wrong. one other minor annoyance is the cover. it easily slides off. this never happen with my previous treo 700p & seidio hi-capacity battery with cover. good thing theres a warranty.
Charging and Battery Status Issues
Ever since getting 2600mAH battery I have had issues with the battery status indicator disappearing. Also, Windows Mobile has problems detecting the actual battery power level. The device sends warning messages that the device is almost out of power and is going to shutdown in 30 seconds and then a minute later the charging indicator changes from red to green and then shows 40+. The most irritating part is when you need the backlight and it dims on you and does not light back up when you touch the screen- which makes it very difficult to use in the dark...
When the stock battery is used these problems go away except the biggest problem of an abysmally short battery life.

Pros: Alleged longer life
Cons: Not working as intended

Returning Seidio batteries
User: Treo 800W User, Nov 21, 2008
I experienced the exact same thing that Alex did in his 11/7 commentary. I even tried the 1350mAh battery and the same symptoms occured (Im in the process of returning both). The battery that came with my Treo works fine...just doesnt get me through the day so Im in the process of ordering another Palm battery. Ill have to switch out through the course of the day but hopefully that will be the only inconvenience. The Seidio symptoms were just too much to overcome.
