Breaks down after use

Pros:	Retractable cord, built-in mic double sided mic
Cons:	Poor qulaity, won't last long

I purchased this set to augment the full 2 in 1's I had. I have a ski helmet with speakers in the ears and this solution was perfect for listening while skiing and being able to take calls, etc. I used it over the season and almost immediately had sound quality issues when adjusting the volume thumbwheel. After 2 months of use, I returned it for a new one. That new unit alsos failed in the same way and Seidio would no longer honor the warranty because they only offer a 90 day warranty. Will not buy another one.

Regarding the retractable version, I really enjoyed this product for about 5 months. Then the wiring between the mic unit and the adapter that plugs into the phone went south. They've used an extremely small gauge on the wiring in order to make it retractable and roll up neatly. I should probably pull my soldering iron out and give a fix a try. If you do opt for the retractable version, always pull the cord out from the cord itself and not the mic unit or above, as that puts too much strain on these small wires. And when storing it be careful not to kink the wires at all.
