iGolfgps is a "Must Have" for any golfer serious about lowering their score. Using a tiny SDIO GPS receiver and your Treo 650, iGolfgps provides golfers with distance measurements to the front, center and back of a green, assisting in the appropriate club selection for the remaining distance.

Also included is the option to select up to four customizable locations, such as water hazards and sand traps. Additionally, a scorecard for up to four golfers is included, complete with player’s statistics and real time scoring.

It is convenient to carry and simple to operate. iGolfgps v.2 allows users to create their own course maps. These maps are generated by walking the greens and registering the front, center, and back using your Treo 650, the SDIO GPS Receiver, and the iGolf Software. iGolfgps also allows the user to register other points of interest such as sand traps, water hazards, etc. This process usually takes about one hour and once the course is mapped, it never has to be mapped again. These course files can then be shared among users.

Car Navigation Software (sold seperatly)

The iGolfGps can be used for car navigation with Mapopolis 2.2 (not included) and the applicable Treo 650 patch. Mapopolis is available from Mapopolis.com.

Mapopolis’s downloadable software package covers the entire United States and major cities in Canada. On top of that, their mapping software supports active guidance with verbal and visual instructions on a turn-by-turn basis. Using this software, you will be able to generate door-to-door driving directions, add personal or business locations, reroute automatically if you accidentally miss a turn, and more.

Note regarding Mapopolis: Since the SD slot is occupied by the GPS receiver, all maps will have to be stored on the Treo 650 ’s internal memory. You therefore only fit a couple of counties of map-data at any time (depending on your available memory). Take this into consideration if purchasing the iGolfGps for navigation purposes.
