Disappointed in this keyboard
User: George Pytlik, Nov 30, 2006
Pros: compact, good key organization
Cons: Doesn't work
I have had great experiences with Bluetooth keyboards on my desktop computer, so I expected great things from this keyboard, but unfortunately it fell well short of my expectations. The keyboard connected fine, but while typing it would continually "stutter." It would miss keys so that you would have to type them over again several times before it would "see" them. This is a problem while typing because by the time you notice that a letter was missed you are several words past that letter and have to go back to fix it. I contacted the Freedom folks and they asked me to send the unit back, which I did at a cost of $15 because they are in England. I received an E-mail three weeks later when the keyboard arrived confirming that they had it, and they indicated that a new one would be shipped back to me. That was almost 2 months ago and I still haven't seen the replacement unit.
Poor Quality Hardware, Software and Customer Support
User: Ed Drysdale, Mar 29, 2007
Pros: Light weight
Cons: Low quality hardware, buggy software and poor documentation
I have tried many keyboards over the last ten years and this is one of the worst products I have used so far.
Hardware:
The hardware design is very fragile. Within the first week of use the stand and lap lock has broken. The all plastic design does not hold up well under normal usage. The switch for changing between HID and SPP mode failed within 60 days of use.

Documentation:
The documentation provided in the packaging and on the Freedom Web site does not provides the limited information about connecting the keyboard to hand held devices. The connection process is difficult to setup not to mention the frequent dropped connections. I have used this with multiple devices and have found this to be a consistent problem with all operating systems.

Software:
Installation of the software was easy. That's about all the good news!
Once installed I had to request an unlock code to use the keyboard. This was a real pain as I was traveling when the keyboard was purchased and had to wait until I had an internet connection to get the unlock code. Since the code is only good for one device I had to request a separate code for each device I wanted to use the keyboard with. It took over a week to get each additional codes. There is a very limited number of features in the software and no help file. The Windows Mobile SmartPhone software would never successfully install on any phone.

Support:
support requests were not answered for over a week and the Online support is always off line and multiple attempts to get help through the tech support chat window went unanswered.

Overall this is one of the worst keyboard products I have ever purchased.

This product is junk
User: Laurence Martin, Dec 22, 2007
I have worked the computers and electronic devices for more than thirty years. This is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. Throw it away, cut your loses and run. If you try to return it, they just do not accept your mail.
