This case is responsible for the destruction of one Treo and damage to several others in my care.
The magnetic clasp is very weak and comes undone very easily, allowing for the Treo to flop out of the case at unexpected times.
The belt clip allows the case to spin around when clipped onto a belt. Often, the thing rotates so that the case is upside down. This is a design flaw. I guess the designers wanted the case to be able to move around a little so that the clip wouldnt fall off your belt, but theres no instance I can think of when it would be desirable for case to flip itself upside down.
The combination of these two design problems has allowed for the following scenario to take place on many occasions: Case flips upside down and magnetic catch releases when I bump it under my coat or whatever, and the Treo falls out of the case. If Im walking at the time, the Treo hits the ground. This happened in a store once, and the Treo fell on a concrete floor and the screen shattered. Its happened in train stations twice and lastly at a truck stop, where I didnt even realize it had fallen out, and thankfully another motorist spotted the Treo and returned it to me. The case has released the Treo when I was sitting down a couple of times, too, and I nearly lost it on a train and another time on a plane. I travel a lot for work and need a reliable case. This is a horrible case for my purposes and Ive given up on it. |
