| EDITOR'S CHOICE: BEST TREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET The Jawbone Noise Shield categorically offers the best voice quality and noise reduction of any of the many dozens of wireless headsets that I have had the opportunity to test to date. It also happens to have been designed by the renowned Yves Behar who created its distinctive perforated shield and body. Read more... | ||

| An Awesome BT head piece | |||||

| In late may I purchased a new Treo 700p (Sprintpcs). This was my first BT Experience. Since I didnt know which was better I purchased the following: Plantronics 655, Jabra 250v, Jabra 500, and Jawbone. I tested all four using my Treo and my Apple 12 G4. The 250v had two much noise even when I was directly (18 inches) in front of the phone or computer. The Jabra 500 worked well no complaints, but it didnt have the range of the 655 or Jawbone. The Plantronics was defiantly the most comfortable even with the ear holder on. It performs well while indoors or outdoors where noise is at a minimum. The jawbone is my favorite, because of the noise cancellation technology. You can see it at jawbone website. Im home business owner and I do a lot of work and make calls on the move or at noisey coffee houses. People where able to hear me clearly in a sports bar or standing at the corner of a busy street. I love the way it cancels out or reduces background noise to almost nothing. Its a bit bulky when compared to the plantronic or jabra, but the technology is well worth it. | |||||

| I purchased this earpiece after speaking with an family member who served in the U.S. Marines working with electronics. I was kind of skeptical about purchasing another high dollar bluetooth headset that wasnt really worth the money. Let me tell you ,after the purchase I so amazed with the noise shield technology that I went crazy. But like everyone else, I couldnt get it to fit my ear. So I searched the web for others reviews and low and behold I found a trick that really worked out fine. For those whos having trouble go online and try to find the Jabra Eargels. Not the mini gels but the ones that Jabra and your local retailers have discontinued. They have some on E-Bay that are different colors, but kind of cheap and will tear easy. Look for the clear OEM eargels, take that crappy earloop off of the jawbone, leave the round black earbud on. Slip the Jabra Eargel over it. Now you can use the Jawbone without the earloop and can keep it in you ear all day long without it falling out. Im a truck driver, that unloads my truck as well, and its never fell off while at work for twelve hours. Hope it works for you it did for me B! | |||||

| Overall, this is the best bluetooth piece ever. Need to find a way to carry it and have available extras accessories for those who need two of everything. I had an ear hoop puncture the black rubber on it (which made it dificult to loop over my ear) and was unable to get is replaced. Would like to see more colors. | |||||

| I just received my Aliph Jawbone with Noise Shield headset today. I positively LOVE IT!!! While somewhat taken aback at the size of the device, it came very highly recommended. Beyond the issue of its size the first thing I noticed was that my device had no juice in the battery or at least it didnt have enough juice to pair with my Palm Treo 700p out of the box. Of course, it was at this point I decided to look for the documentation. THE DOCUMENTATION AND PACKAGING SHIPPED WITH THIS DEVICE WAS AMAZING. I am usually dreadfully disappointed by the documentation I receive with electronic devices, although the more I spend of a device usually the better the documentation. From the onset, I noticed everything I needed to know about the device to get a frustrated user (me) up and running. When I flipped the box over the first thing I saw was the instructions needed to get going quickly. When I couldnt get going quickly, I dove into the users guide/booklet. Beautiful work on that little booklet. I found the answers to my immediate questions: "Why doesnt the device work or fit my ear?" and "How long before I can use it for real?" I also found these answers in less than a minute. I dont have enough time to tell you all the things you did right in designing the packaging and documentation but if you havent entered the packaging and documentation in a publications contest you should. It is high time someone modeled useful instructions that can make even complex devices simple to use and understand. Before reading the users guide through, I played with the Jawbone and figured almost everything out from the audible cues and the Jabones interaction with my Palm Treo. If a useful product and concise but EXCELLENT documentation were not enough, I called the most picky, most easily annoyed by off-sounding headset folks I could find and the most techie user I knew. One of the people I spoke with is going to purchase one after listening to the voice quality of my Jawbone. WELL DONE!! Signed, One Very Happy Jawbone User Don Rasky | |||||

| For as long as I've been using headsets (and trust me, there have been MANY headsets that didn't make the cut.) my only wish was to have one that was as good as talking on the handset. Well, this one is unequivocally better. I have been searching for the perfect headset for years, and THIS IS IT!!! (No, I'm not astroturfing for Aliph) Well, almost perfect. 2 minor complaints: 1) This is in no way pocketable. Someone needs to design and sell a belt holster of some kind for this. I have to wear it on my ear all day because there's no other place to keep it. That being said, it's very comfortable in the ear, no problems wearing it all day, and it doesn't block my ability to hear other things. 2) No 3rd parties making accessories for this thing, and the charger is HIGHLY proprietary. It is not even similar to anything on the market. The only place I found one is on eBay for $55, which is highway robbery. I would imagine if these things get more popular, you'll see chargers popping up from 3rd party vendors. Taking that into consideration, the battery still seems much better than my Samsung WEP200. I've never had it run out on me. Bottom line: 5 out of 5. If I could give it 6, I would, but I can't. | |||||
