| Overall, I personally found the top feature of the Sony Ericsson HBH-GV435 to be about its wearing comfort – you can easily be on a call for hours barely noticing that the headset is over your ear. The long talk time, solid build, very good call quality and extremely pocketable design are naturally all also a big plus. | I have tried many, many blue tooth headsets, with most recently several of the new one's with version 2.0 blue tooth and DSP, Echo Cancelation, etc. This Sony Erricons is by far, the best blue tooth headset out there right now. The only con is not with the device but with he minimal directions that accompnay the package. You pretty much have to learn on your own above any of he basic features and as an example, when i first tried the device, the volume was to low, I assumed that there was a problem with the device becase this BT device has auto volume control. I was going to reject this device until I quickly figured out you can override the auto volume function by pressing down repeatedly on the up/down volume button only while during a phone conversation, then the volume will stay as you have set it to your liking. I highly recommned this BT device. It is comforable and very clear on both ends. It also hides nicley behind your ear inconspicuosly. Very long battery life at 8 hours. If you like he behind the ear BT headsets, this beats all others out there by a mile. The Jabra BT250 and BT500 and also Motorola behind the ear BT cant stand a comparison chance against this Sony Erricons. Hope this helps. | |||||

| I finally found a Bluetooth Headset that works for me. With the standard designs of the protruding booms in various incarnations you always end up looking like some sort of C-list Captain Spock. The GV-435 is by far the most discreet yet highly functional BT headset I have yet come across. It paired with my 680 without fuss and provides clear communication at the touch of a conveniently located button. Callers hear me so well, that it makes me wonder whether the boom construction of other headsets isn't just a psychological crutch. | |||||

| This is the best Bluetooth headset I've had so far. It may look clunky but it feels light and fits in the ear well. This is my third Bluetooth. The other two (Palm and Jabra) had to be real close to my Treo (probably a Treo issue?). I keep the Treo on my right side and wear the headset in my left ear and the connection was always lousy. With the Sony, I can be at least 10 feet away. I am soft-spoken and alway had to shout with a headset. The Sony picks up everything in a normal voice. I'm impressed with the noise cancellation. I had to "delete" all other Bluetooth devices from my Treo in order to get a successful connection with the Sony. The manual is poorly written and made for people who only communicate with pictures and can't read the written word. I still haven't figured out what the pictures mean. Volume control from the Treo is still necessary. The headset does not bypass that. | |||||

| Having gone from a Jabra BT250 that finally gave up the ghost after 18 months of use, I thought that this was a good substitute to try something new and different. I liked the low profile. I tend to wear my headset 8-10 hours out of the day and wanted something that was comfortable but also durable. After 2 months, the rubber piece between the two solid pieces separated and now until I get a new one, its just being held together by a wing and a prayer. If you dont wear this much, good product, but probably not for someone that has it on all day. | |||||

OK, but intermittent poor sound quality | ||||

| This is my first ear piece. I bought it because I liked the discrete look when wearing it. I am very disappointed in the sound quality when my phone is even as close as in my holster on my belt (indoors or outside, same problem). If the antenna is pointing toward my back, I hear a tremendous amount of static and crackling during the phone call. The noise is a little better when my Treo 700p antenna is pointing forward, but still present. The noise is only on my end, as the others say they dont hear a thing. The spec sheet says 5 meters, or ~15 ft. No way. Sometimes the crackling and noise are so bad, I cant hear the other people, even with the phone on my belt. The poor sound quality is not all the time, but often enough that it is quite annoying (40 of the time). Also, the part of the unit that fits over the ear is kind of wide, compared to the distance between the top of my ear and my head. After about an hour of wearing time, my ear gets sore. That is mainly my problem, not everyones ears are that close to their head. Just something to mention. I still gave the unit 3 stars, because of the price and how it looks when wearing it. But the sound problem is annoying when it happens. Would not by this one again. | |||||
