StarStarStarStarStar Best case I've ever owned
User: K H, Jan 19, 2007
Pros: Perfect design
Cons: Potential for failure of clipping mechanism?
I've been through loads of cases, skins, holsters & clips for my Treo 650. Never quite satisfied, I saw the Cellet about 10 months ago and grabbed one, along with a set of egrips to go with it. I had to trim the egrips a bit at the bottom and sides to allow it to work with the Cellet holster.

Design is perfect. Clips securely and easily without looking. Easy to reach the silence switch while it's ringing. And it doesn't pop my SD card out ever.

I've worn this case all day, every day and haven't managed to break anything over the last 10 months. I've hooked the antenna on solid objects many times. A few of those mishaps resulted in the phone popping loose, but most of the time it just stopped me in my tracks. I'm 6'3" and 235 so I'm surprised I haven't had the bad experiences that other reviewers have had. I'm planning to keep mine and buy another for a spare, just in case the law of averages catches up with me. Hands down the best Treo 650 case I've owned.

StarStarStarStarStar Great form factor, not so great in the long run
User: Keneth Sakoda, Jan 12, 2007
Pros: After looking at several options I bought this holster because I liked its design and the fact that it was "robberized" to avoid scratches.
Cons: The only thing holding the Treo in place is a tiny piece of plastic.
After about a week I found my Treo would "pop" out of its holster - luckily the fall didn't damage my phone, but I begin to worry that it might pop out without me noticing it.

When I tried to put the Treo back the last time it popped out, I found that it wouldn't click into place - the tiny little tab that holds it in place had broken off, rendering the holster useless.

Cellet needs to add somekind of latch to secure the Treo in place so when things snag it or when its inadvertantly pulled it will not pop out of the holster.

StarStarStarStarStar Short Life
User: Kenneth Miller, Mar 19, 2007
Pros: lightweight; doesn't get in the way
Cons: tab break and it is worthless
This worked really well for about 3 months of light use. Retainer tab holding Treo broke off and device hit the pavement. Choose another unless you want to risk your device to this $27.00 holster.

StarStarStarStarStar Not Built for Long Term Use
User: Max K, Nov 18, 2006
I bought two of these based on Treonauts' review. I have been very disappointed with the performance. The first one broke within two weeks and the phone has fallen out several times from the second one.

StarStarStarStarStar Not for the 700 series
User: Eric Troutman, Aug 21, 2007
Pros: Great for the 650
Cons: only the 650
This holster is also branded and sold by Verizon for the 650 and 700 Treos. It fits the 650 beautifully and the Treo snaps in and out of it like a Glock pistol. The holster is durable for the 650, as well.

The fit for the 700s is forced, though, so 700s are not so secure even before the clip breaks, as it surely will. One would think this would have been re-engineered by now. The market for 650s cannot be thriving...

StarStarStarStarStar Awful Awful Awful
User: Lawson Bailey, Dec 22, 2006
After only 1 month of regular use the clip will NOT hold the phone. Terrible design that hold the phone in place with a little clip on top.

StarStarStarStarStar good idea, poor execution
User: Michael Smiley, Dec 23, 2006
Pros: rubberized coating
Cons: poor clip
So I thought that I would give this holster a shot, despite the poor reviews I saw on it. I have also used the Seido holster which, while totally functional, did scratch up my treo 650 a bit. I bought this when I got a new 700p and the clip broke in three weeks. The problem is that the bit that secures the phone is pretty tiny and just isn’t made for a lot of repetitive use.

This holster may work for you if you rarely take your phone out of your holster.

StarStarStarStarStar Too flawed
User: Richard Forest, Jan 8, 2007
Pros: easy access to phone
Cons: not durable
I'll add my voice to the chorus. This holster worked well originally, but after a month or two the phone kept slipping out. Today I noticed a crack in the back of the holster near the retaining clip, which I'm sure is what was causing the problem. The crack has probably been there for a while and just got longer until I could notice it. Into the junk heap it goes...

StarStarStarStarStar Don't be fooled by the good review!
User: Martin Thomsen, Jan 9, 2007
New out of the package, the top of my Treo 700 would fall out about an inch just with tilting the holster. The bottom of the holster is cupped deep enough that at least I didn't drop my Treo! The rubberized surface is nice to the touch. However, the plastic is thin and I believe the other reviews from those that have used it for a period of time that it can go bad quickly. I've used the Seidio Swivel Clip and Seidio Spring Clip Swivel holsters and will go back to them!

StarStarStarStarStar Verizon version keeps breaking
User: Steve Randolph, Aug 28, 2007
I have gone through four of these from Verizon since I purchased my 700w. This last time was after only three weeks. When it works, it works well. But the tab has broken three times, causing the phone to go flying . Though I have numerous scratches and gouges on the edges, the phone still works great (though usually the battery cover flies off also). The fourth time it broke, the belt clip broke clean off.

Thnakfully I went for the equipment insurance with my contract Verizon has replaced the holster for free each time. About time for me to try something else and keep this one as a back-up.

StarStarStarStarStar keep looking
User: Joshua Parsell, May 21, 2007
Pros: easy access
Cons: treo can fall out, breaks after a while
It was alright when it worked.

Once while in the car the locking tab had popped open. When I got where I was going and stood up out of the car, my Treo went flying. :(

After less than 2 months of use, the tiny little tab broke off, so now it is useless. Now that I closely examine the part where the tab "locked" onto my phone, it did scratch and wear down the surface somewhat. (The ledge right above the volume mute icon.) I wonder if it would have stopped working eventually from wearing away the ledge even if the tab had not broken off?

Mine is the re-branded Verizon version of this holster, which came as a package deal with a BT headset and car charger for $80 when I got the phone. Hopefully I can get some money back from Verizon for it...
